Govt School teacher conferred with National ICT Award
Fazilka, March 1, 2022: Among the 49 teachers selected for the award, Vijay Kumar Gupta – a Social Science Teacher, from Fazilka was conferred with National Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Award at Delhi.
Gupta is presented working as Science Teacher at Govt. High Smart School Chuwarian Wali in district Failka since August 2015.
He holds four Post Graduation degrees – MA (Hindi and History), M.Ed, M.Phil, and PGCTE besides many certificate courses on Microsoft and Diksha App – besides having a resource book on Teaching of English and publication of various Modules for Humanities Lectures by SCERT Punjab in 2019. He is also contributing in writing workbooks, manuals for teachers, and teacher training programs at the state level.
Vijay Kumar Gupta said I had a keen interest to educate learners and society through ICT and Open Educational Resources (OER). The idea in my mind was that if students can explain about the movie or episode, they watched it on TV, anytime without doing much effort then why not in the classroom they can do. I, therefore, decided to prepare a digital lesson plan for them.
Somehow, I was not comfortable with the Society Science subject so I decided to prepare a digital lesson plan for students, he added.
