Video clip for assault on ‘Khakhi’ surfaces, one booked under IT Act

Ferozepur, September 2, 2018: The police have registered against one person for posting of a video clip on the social network for allegedly beating and threatening a police Hav Raman Kumar.

A complaint to this effect was given on May 10, 2018, to Special Wing of the and after detailed investigation; a case has been registered under Sections 49, 500 IPC and 67, Information Technology Act 2000 against Sonu Bansal son of Ashok Kumar of Makhu Gate Ferozepur at Kulgarhi police station.

SHO Jasvir Singh informed that during 2016 Hav Raman Kumar was on Traffic Wing duty and he was on duty at Bhatinda where the recruitment of girls was going on. When he was on way to his duty, the truck driver attacked on him near Satiyewala bye pass and video was recorded by Sonu Bansal.

He said, despite stopping him, Sonu put the video on the social network again on September 7, 2018, which has hurt the sentiments of the family.

Further investigations into the case is still on and no arrest has been made in this case.
