Upset over a failed relationship, 26-year-old youth commits suicide
Ferozepur, July 12, 2023: In a tragic incident and apparently upset over a failed relationship, a teacher 26-year-old, allegedly committed suicide in village Nidhana in Guruharsahai block. A case under Sections 306/34 IPC has been registered against two alleged accused Manjit Kaur of Mohkam Arian Wala and Des Singh of Chota Phalian Wala at Guruharsahai police station.
As per the information, Sukhwinder Singh, 26 year old, after doing his post-graduation, was preparing for a test to get a job. Manjit Kaur and Sukhwinder Singh, both studying together since 2019, developed close relations and promised to marry. Later on, Manjit Kuar got the government job after two years and further developed relations with Milkha Singh which could not be digested by Sukhwinder Singh.
During this sequence, Des Singh threatened Sukhwinder Singh to stay from this relation saying that Manjit Kaur had stayed with him a number of times and he had her naked pics also. Sukhwinder Singh had gone into depression on coming to all this and when her sister came back to home on July 6. When enquired from Manjit Kaur about her brother, she told that he had committed suicide in the crop reside – ‘toori’ room by hanging with a rope and a suicide note was found from his pocket.
Meanwhile, a case has been referred to Jaswinder Singh, IO and further investigations are on.
