Ferozepur, February 13, 2021: The recovery of mobiles and banned items from inside the jail from the prisoners or thrown from over the high walls outside has become a regular feature and posed a security threat due to open area and high rising buildings.
On Saturday, three mobiles were recovered wrapped in the White colour tape, thrown inside the jails over the walls.
According to Hari Singh, Assistant Superintendent, while Warder Shinder Singh along with other employees was making a round inside the jail wall, one pack covered with white tape was found and three mobiles Keypad, with battery but without SIM cards were found along with one pack of cigarettes.
Meanwhile, a case under the Prisons Act has been registered against the unidentified persons and appointment of IO Jang Singh for further investigations. During the inquiry, a special focus will be on its suspected usage with the already availability of SIM cards with the jail inmates.
