Two masked men loot cash, mobile at gunpoint in Ferozepur, one held
Ferozepur, May 20, 2023: In an incident that occurred in broad daylight on Saturday, two masked men barged into the shop in grain market of Ferozepur Cantt and took away nearly Rs.40,000 at gunpoint in broad daylight from an employee of Commission Agent.
The whole incident was captured on CCTV in which the armed robbers had come on a bike, at around 3.30 pm, with covered faces, looted Rs.40,000 cash and a mobile phone. One of them pointed a pistol at Rahul, Accountant sitting in the office and handed over whatever he was having on getting a threat of shooting, if not given. CCTV footage viral on social media clearly shows him opening the drawer at gunpoint and taking Rs.40,000 cash and a mobile phone and leaving it on a motorcycle.
The matter was immediately reported to the police. One of them, identified as Umrao Singh Sandhu of village Sayanwala have been arrested and handed over to the police while the hunt is on to nab the other one named by the apprehended person as Chanchal Singh of village Tut. Further investigations are still on, said police official, Angrez Singh.
