Two inter-state drug smugglers held after encounter with Rajasthan police
Ferozepur, March 15, 2021: In an firing incident at Ferozepur when the Special Operations Unit – SOU of the Rajasthan Police, tracking him from Ludhiana, while two inter-state drug peddlers were arrested, the third one fled the scene.
According to the sources, 7.586 kg heroin was recovered on February by ATS team of Rajasthan at Badmer which was further to be delivered to three persons received from their counterparts in Pakistan – Badal Khan Amakot and Feti alias Lamboo through a deal over Rs.12 lakh by Bachaya Khan.
Inspector Bhoora Ram of the SOU said Angrej Singh from Mamdot block in the district was wanted in a drug smuggling case registered at the Beejgarh police station in Barmer district of Rajasthan.
On a tip off that Bachaya Khan was travelling in an Innova on the Ferozepur-Fazilka road and on signaling the car driver, Angrez to stop the vehicle, there wasa open fire at the police team, said the Inspector.
While Angrez and Jarnail Singh were taken into custody, the third accused identified as Yadwinder Singh fled from the scene.
