Two arrested with 3.262 kg heroin in major commercial recovery in Ferozepur
erozepur, January 3, 2025: In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, police apprehended two individuals with a commercial recovery of 3.262 kilograms of heroin. The accused, identified as Ajapal Singh alias Ajay from Jagatpur village in Tarn Taran district and Gurjinder Singh alias Kaka from Jhanda Bagga Purana village in Ferozepur district, were intercepted near village Saidan Wala Malwal Qadi on link road under Kulgarhi police station.
Along with the narcotics, a car used in the transportation was seized. The case has been registered under Section 21 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
Ved Parkash, the investigating officer, stated that further inquiries are ongoing to uncover potential links to a larger drug network. This significant seizure highlights the persistent efforts of law enforcement agencies to curb the drug menace in Punjab.
