Ferozepur, June 10, 2024: Even after the completion of Lok Sabha elections and the formation of government by Modi for the third time, the deadlock between the farmers – who are protesting over the legal guarantee of MSP at the Punjab-Haryana borders touching Delhi – and government, continued when the protest has entered 119th day today.
However, five MPs of the Trinamool Congress visited the protesting farmers at the Khanauri-Data Singh Wala Punjab-Haryana border today and expressed solidarity with the protesting farmers demanding the legal guarantee of MSP.
The central government has not responded to their demand for legal rights of MSP as per the Swaminathan Commission Report and protests, which include the rail-roko campaign causing inconvenience to the passengers and huge loss to the railways.

TMC was the first party to establish contact with the farm Andolan in 2020-21. We will raise the farmers’ issues in Parliament and at every available forum. We are always standing with India’s Annadatas,
Tajveer Singh, Sarwan Singh Pandher, Punjab farmer leaders thanked the 5 MPs for standing with the farmers over their genuine demands adding that our protests would continue till our demands are met.
