Three booked under Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act
Ferozepur, April 25, 2018: The Ferozepur police have booked three persons on the statement of Bajrang Dal Chief, under the Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act at police station Makhu.
As per the information, the accused were transporting 7 cows and 3 bulls to Amritsar in a Canter. Immediately on getting a call, the Bajrang Dal workers with the help of the police recovered cows and bulls while the accused escaped from the spot.
According to Gurbachan Singh, the leader of the Bajrang Dal, Dharminder Singh son of Pritpal Singh resident of Moga received the information that the accused Satnam Singh of Tarn Taran, Sukhdev Masih and Lakha Mashi were transporting the animals to Amritsar and on following them, the accused fled away from the scene leaving the truck in which the animals were being transported.
He further informed that the truck loaded with animals were taken into custody and a case was registered under Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act on the statement of Bajrang Dal Chief and further investigation was started.
