The Habitat Center The Family Wellness and Sports Hub to kickstart in Ferozepur
Firozpur, October 5, 2023 With a view to provide world class sports and fitness facilities to the people, Sundown-The Habitat Centre, The Family Wellness and Sports Hub will be inaugurated at Das & Brown World School. Which includes Brooks Table Tennis Academy, Armor Indoor Shooting Range, Aqua Star Swimming, Golf’s West End Golf Range, Roller Skating Rink Champion Academy, Badminton, Golf, Dronacharya Archery Academy, Dynamo Basketball Academy, Espoir Cricket Academy, Smash Point Volleyball. The academy will have facilities for lawn tennis, river side lawn tennis, basketball, hockey, roller skating, athletics, taekwondo, cue master academy for billiards, chess, carrom, state-of-the-art gym and other sports. Manjeet Singh Dhillon said that the main objective of establishing the wellness center is to provide a place to the people of the border district, where they can come and keep themselves healthy by participating in various sports. He told that there was no such recreational place in the district where one could go and do physical activity with the family. He said that the people of Firozpur will be able to join the family by taking membership in the Habitat Centre, in which they will also get an opportunity to increase social and psychological well-being. He said that apart from focusing on meditation and yoga, self-defense classes will also be given in the Habitat Center and there will also be arrangements for cycling. Manjit Singh Dhillon said that community engagement programs will be run from time to time and Zumba dance classes will also be held. Sports officer Abhishek Madan said that separate pools have been set up for small children and adults in the swimming pool. Experienced coaches of each sport have been appointed, who will provide coaching.
