Rejecting both the proposals for regularization of 75 per cent cut in wages on regularization of SSA, RMSA teachers, headmasters and lab attendants, Harjit Singh Jeeta, General Secretary said, is like a murder of teachers.
The Union leaders made an appeal to the Chief Minister, Education Minister and all the MLAs of the state, to merge all the category of teachers with full wages to save them and members of their families.
They said, on the one hand, the Punjab Government is talking about a dialogue with the Joint Teachers Front and on the other hand, using the dividing policy under unconstitutional opinion poll. This will prove fatal for the entire education system. Giving consent to the 75 per cent cut in wages like the policy will lower the morale of the teachers. The government should do justice with the teachers to regularize all teachers who have given 9 years of their prime youth period to the department, they added.
The Union has decided to intensify the agitation against the partial aptitude and exploiting proposals of the government.
