Teachers celebrate birthday of visually-impaired inmates at Blind Home
Ferozepur, December 31, 2020: The teachers of the local DCM Group of Schools celebrated birthday of visually-impaired inmates at Home for the Blind.
On their earlier visit to the Home for the Blind to hand over the kit to the visually-impaired cricket team, the teaches had pledged to celebrate the birthdays of inmates once in a month in the campus.
Abhishek Arora, Gagan Sodhi and others brought gifts and eatables for the inmates and decorated the room with starts, balloons besides putting on the birthday caps of inmates whose birthdays fall during the month of December namely Parminder Kumar, Sachin Kumar, Waqur Ul Islam, Vishnu Parshad, Rohit Sharma and Sita Ram.
Musical presentation by the visually-impaired students was marvellous especially the filmy dialogue delivery by one of the imamates.
Added here, the Home for the Blind is looking after 32 visually-impaired persons by providing them free lodging-boarding and education. Presently, around 16 inmates are pursuing the Plus Two and Graduation level classes in the local college and in the recent past 18 pass-outs have joined the government job in different departments.
Sita Ram, Music teacher for visually-impaired persons said, we feel pleasure on celebrations of our birthdays by the staff of DCM Group of Schools which has given us a feeling of close boding with the society. Really, sometimes a feeling becomes a reality and we enjoyed the beauty of the colourful outer world when Abhishek Arora narrated the decoration of the room to celebrate our birthdays.
