Students celebrate Raksha Bandhan with BSF jawans posted on border
Ferozepur, August 24, 2018: Girl students of Govt. Sr. Secondary School, Gatti Rajo Ke celebrated Raksha Bandhan among Border Security Force – BSF jawans deployed at the international border Hussainiwala, with great zest and zeal.
BSF officers Bhupinder Singh Chauhan, Company Commandant, P.K.Dass, Satpal Chowki Incharge, Shiv Kumar, Sub-Inspector, Shiv Kumar, Kuldip Singh, Suman Kumar along with the good number of jawans were present on this occasion.
Giving warm welcome to the BSF officers and jawans Dr.Satinder Singh Principal – honoured with National Award by President of India – said, It’s a great honour for our students to celebrate this festival here with the jawans as their brothers, who guard the borders of the nation. Because of their 24×7 duty, the people of the entire nation had a sound sleep. He said such programmes are organized to inculcate the spirit of patriotism among the students.
BSF officers and jawans appreciating the initiative of the school also said that it was also a great honour for them to celebrate this auspicious festival with the students.
In the sentimental address, Coy Comm Chauhan said, such programmes boost up our morale while posted far away from the home beside it reduces the distance between our family members. Advising the youths to shun the menace of drugs, he also solicited cooperation to the BSF. He also motivated the students by quoting various precedents to adopt the moral values along with national loyalty in their life.
The best moments of the programme was when the students decorated the Rakhis prepared by themselves, on the wrist of the jawans. While the girl students were feeling encouraged, the BSF jawans were also seen as sentimental.
Students – Harpreet Singh, Ramandeep Kaur, Paramjit Kaur spellbound the BSF officers and jawans with their songs and art presentation.
