STF nabbed two drug peddlers with 2-kg opium
Ferozepur, July 11, 2022: The Ferozepur Special Task Force team headed by Rajbir Singh, DSP STF Range and Satpal, SI nabbed two drug peddlers with 2-kg opium and a car in which they were travelling.
Divulging with details, Nirmaljit Singh Sahota, AIG, STF said, the accused have been identified as Bohar Singh of village Kakad near Mamdot and Amandeep Singh alias Aman of Basti Khaliwala near Kalwal Qadim were arrested near chowk Baba Sher Shah Wali with 2 kg opium and Swift white colour car PB-11-AR-0991.
As per the preliminary investigation, this opium consignment was purchased from the immigrant person. However, a case under NDPS Act has been registered at STF police station SAS Nagar and further investigations are on with special focus on to crack the supply chain.
