Strict action against those hoarding or excess charging for oxygen cylinders: Pinki MLA
Ferozepur, May 13, 2021: In the wake of surge in Corovonavirus cases in Ferozepur, sufficient oxygen supply will be made available and in the event of anyone found black marketing of oxygen gas cylinders or oxygen regulator humidifier bottle etc., a strictest action will be taken against him, said Parminder Singh Pinki, MLA.
Taking strong note of the black marketing of oxygen, he asked the people to inform secretly to him on phone about such unscrupulous persons or chemists in the society.
Pinki said, it has come to his notice that some persons are selling the regulator at Rs.6,000 and no action is being taken against them by the department. He said, such persons will be booked and their shops sealed.
He said, about 100 oxygen cylinders have been received by the administration, out of which 75 will be provided to those who have already booked and the remaining 25 will be kept at Red Cross Society for emergent cases and anyone contact Secretary Red Cross for the purpose.
MLA also made an appeal to the Chemists Association, not to support the black marketers rather cooperate with the civil and police administration for taking strict action.
There is a need to activate robust human intelligence mechanism with deployment of decoy customer to unearth the entire chain of black marketing.
