Special CASO Op in Ferozepur, 3 drug smugglers held, 64 challans against traffic violators
Ferozepur, June 16, 2024: The Ferozepur Police on Sunday conducted a massive Cordon and Search Operation (CASO), at identified drug hotspots and vulnerable areas to completely curb the activities of the unscrupulous, anti-social elements involved in the drug business.
Randhir Kumar, SP said two operations were carried out. Operation One was different from CASO as it was against the verification of 36 associates of Lakhbir Landa (who is said to be a Canada-based terrorist) and Operation Two was at drug hotspots in the whole of the district.
Soumiya Mishra, SSP said, In this operation 2 SPs, 5 DSPs, 14 Inspectors, 170 NGOs/EPOs were put on duty in this special operation in the district. During this operation carried out at 14 places three drug smugglers were arrested with 135 gm heroin. Besides, 64 challans were also issued to the traffic violators.
