Six districts will go online for property registration from Feb. 9: S.K.Raju

Ferozepur, January 25, 2018: After successful running of online registration of land and property at SAS Nagar, Mohali, six more districts will go online on February 9, 2018, said Dr.S.K.Raju, Secretary Revenue while having meeting with the District Revenue Offices, DSMs, DIOs at Ferozepur where Ramvir Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur and Vineet Kumar, ADC and Naman Market were also present.

The six districts which will go online for registration of landed property from February 9, are Ferozepur, Faridkot, Fazilka, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Moga and Bathinda.

S.K. Raju, Secretary Revenue said that online registration service has been started by the Punjab Government to bring transparency in the purchase and sale of land / properties and provide best facilities to the people. Regarding the sale of land / property purchases in Tehsils and Sub Tehsil of district Ferozepur, Faridkot, Muktsar, Fazilka, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Moga and Bathinda district, now the sale of land / property purchase will now be done online.

He said that the method of online registration will be very easy. Under this new process, all details of the buyer and the seller will be recorded in the software and after this they will forward these details to the office of the concerned Registrar. At this time, the software will provide available time information to the Registrar and in the available slots, the purchasers and vendors will be able to choose the time according to their convenience and at the given time, they will be able to register their land property by visiting the concerned Tehsil office.

He said that by registering online, when the details of the land regarding registration will be recorded online, then the software will determine the fee based on the automatic stamp duty, registration fee, and collector rate. The base number and mobile number of both the property buyer and the seller for this process will be recorded at the time of the transaction, thereby obtaining a mobile message to the concerned person for the time specified for the registration and the completion of the process.

On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that it would work hard to successfully run this project in the district so that people do not face any difficulties. He said that with the inclusion of this online registry project, the process of purchase of land property will be completely transparent and there will be no problems to the people, who have to repeatedly visit in different offices of the revenue department for the registration.
