Shiv Sena Hindustan condemns Sikh Referendum 2020

Ferozepur, February 6, 2018: Shiv Sena Hindustan Punjab President Legal Cell, Amit Ghai – an advocate by profession, who was here in Ferozepur to strengthen the Shiv Sena Hindustan by constituting the new teams in the state, under the tutelage of Pawan Gupta, National President.  Addressing the media persons at a press conference held at Press Club, Ferozepur today, Ghai condemned the Sikh Referendum 2020 campaign.

 

Targeting Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, legal adviser of the Sikhs for Justice – SFJ, Amit Ghail, slammed his campaign for Khalistan Referendum 2020 – on the idea of a separate nation of Khalistan. terming it as cheap, anti-national, disgraceful, and cowardice. Ghai said he would continue to fight against this move. At the same time, he congratulated the Punjab Police for the killing of Vicky Gounder and his accomplice in an encounter as they are the danger to the nation. He, however, appealed to the gangsters to come back to the normal life.

He also urged the government to ban all institutions of Sikhs for Justice like the Referendum 2020 move like that of and of Indian Mujahadin Lashkar-e-Toiba who are misguiding our youths.

He said, those who are supporting this move are anti-national and want to break Punjab peace. He said that the organisation strongly condemns the movement and would put efforts in curbing it completely.  He said, “One who rule by the gun, must die with the gun”. 

In reply to the question, Ghai said, the government should stop giving out wrong signals to the people of separating the Hindus and Sikhs.

To another query, Ghai said, “Whosoever will challenge the law and speak against the nation, we will continue to condemn him.  Even we had opposed the holding of Sarbat Khalsa in 2016.

On asking about secularism, he said, I am nationalist first and then secular.

Commenting on 1984 riots, I strongly condemn it and those are involved should be punished after speedy investigation, as per the law.
