SAD target AAP government, submit 5-point memorandum to DC for forwarding to Governor
Ferozepur, May 9, 2022: Taking a jibe at the AAP government, today SAD leaders and workers led by former Minister, Janmeja Singh Sekhon, submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner for forwarding to the Governor Punjab for improving the power supply in the state due to paddy sowing season and also a relief for the common man because of high temperature.
Joginder Singh Jindul former MLA Ferozepur Urban, Montu Vohra, Vardev Singh Nony Mann, SAD leader and SAD leaders and workers were also present on this occasion.
Sekhon said, during the tenure of SAD led government, the power was surplus. AAP government has failed to take remedial measures well in advance of the paddy sowing season. We demand that as per the announcement in the manifesto, the farmers should be given a regular power supply for timely sowing of paddy. He said the government has not taken any initiative as to how it will overcome the shortage and also how it will supply uninterrupted power to the agriculture sector in the ensuing paddy season.
He further said, It is unfortunate that case for compensation to farmers due to natural calamity of a minimum of Rs.500 per qtl should have been sent to the central government. So far there is no assessment so far.
Talking about the law and order in the state, he said, it is worst now and there had been murders more than the number of days of forming of the government. By entering into MoU with the Delhi government from the back door, which is against the constitutional provisions of keeping the secrecy of oath, Sekhon said, AAP government is totally failure in Punjab on all fronts.
