Retired SI shoots himself in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, March 1, 2023: On Wednesday, a 70-year-old retired sub-inspector, a resident of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Colony of the city, ended his life by shooting himself with his license revolver due to his long-term respiratory illness.
In this case, on behalf of the city police, taking action on the basis of the statements of the family members, the body has been handed over to the family members after post-mortem.
Baljit Singh, the younger brother of the deceased, while giving information, his elder brother Gurubachan Singh, son of Ratna Singh, who lived with his elder son’s family in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Colony of the city, was suffering from respiratory illness for a long time.
He was retired from the post of sub-inspector in the police department. He was called by his nephew on Wednesday morning and informed that his father had committed suicide by shooting himself, after which he informed the police and the body was taken to the Civil Hospital for post-mortem where the police took action and handed over the body to the family members, after conducting the post-mortem.
