Punjab Assembly Polls 2017 : Youth wants employment opportunities, says first time voters
Ferozepur, February 4, 2017 : We are least concerned as to whose government comes to power, the youth in Punjab want employment opportunities, said one of the first time voters at Model Polling Stations at Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Campus.
They were feeling happy to become a part of democratic set up in the country for the first time, said Balkar Singh Gill Gulamiwala and Sukhwinder Singh Bhullar, member of the Flying Squad Team present. Kamal Sharma, SVEEP Coordinator was also present on this occasion.
They were congratulated for becoming a voter for the first time and using their right to franchise rightly.
The voting for Punjab elections have picked up and people from all the age groups are turning up to vote. The first time voters, who were given appreciation certificate by the Returning Officer Ferozepur Rural at SBS State Tech Campus, have high expectations from the government to create job opportunities for them.
First time voters on visiting the booth were presented with Appreciation Certificate by the Returning Officer Ferozepur Rural at Model Polling Station.
One of such voter at a polling booth said, the youth in Punjab wants employment irrespective of any government comes to power in the state.
In the meantime, the voting in Ferozepur till 2 pm is 52.25 per cent with Zira 59 er cent, Ferozepur Urban 53 per cent Ferozepur Rural 49 percent and Guruharshai 49 per cent.
