Ferozepur, July 16, 2016 : The railways – which becomes a soft target during  agitation by various organizations – is seriously considering over a proposal to find a solution on account of heavy losses during protests.

While talking to S.Z.Khan, Senior Divisional Security Commissioner, Ferozepur Rail Division, he informed that during 2015-16 agitations throughout the country especially in Punjab and Haryana, the railway has suffered huge losses.

The protesters stop the train over very small issues causing inconvenience to the passengers besides putting huge revenue losses to the railways.

Khan informed that after having consultation with Divisional Rail Manager, Anuj Parkash, Divisional Rail RPF is making proposal has been sent to the Central Government which will benefit the railways if implemented.

According to the proposal, the report of Railway Protection Force against whom the cases have been registered, will be sent to the concerned police stations and as and when the police verification for going abroad comes, it should be banned.

Khan further said, there is too much craze for going abroad in Punjab and Haryana and the railway has to face maximum loss in these two states.

In case, this proposal gets a nod from the government, the protesters will think twice before stopping the trains in future and railways would be benefitted from bearing huge losses. These proposals have also been sent to the police heads of the state for information also, he added.
