Ferozepur, August 24, 2023: Immediate post-flood recovery activity is more important to settle down a normal life as usual and the local leading NGO – Firozpur Foundation – which is working exclusively for ‘langar’ seva two times in a day has come forward to supply the mineral drinking water in bottles, which is immediate requirement of the flood affected victims.

Shalinder, founder of the Firozpur Foundation, said, “On request of the flood affected villagers and the district administration, we have exclusively taken the initiative to supply drinking water filled in bottles. Approximately 2,000 boxes of drinking water bottles are being distributed in the flood affected villages starting from Nihale Wala, Khilcha, Sultanwala etc.”

Apart from this, we are also advising the people living in camps or outer side of the villages at safe places to stay away from damaged areas unless your assistance has been specifically requested by police, fire or relief organization, move very safely when floodwaters have receded as it can be very slippery, don’t switch on the electricity unless it is totally safe and return home only when authorities indicate it is safe.

Lucky Narula, Deepak Joshi, Vikas Passi, Vishal Sethi, Yatish Kumar, Mukhtiar Singh and Kulwant Singh members of Firozpur Foundation actively participate in this project.
