‘Police Elders-Day-2015” celebrated – 5 retired police officials honoured
Ferozepur, December 20,2015 : Like previous years, today also the Ferozepur police under the standing orders of Director General Police Punjab Chandigarh, Police Elders Day – 2015 was celebrated at Police Lines to honour the retired police officers/officials.
The ceremony was attended by all gazette, non-gazetted, retired police officers/officials besides police officials from different units.
The importance of celebration of Elders Day was highlighted at the start of the ceremony with assurance that in the event of any problem, the same will be solved on priority.
Later, the audience was also apprised about the welfare activities performed during the year 2015 for the retired police officials.
Two minutes silence was also observed to pay tributes to the departed souls of police department.
On this occasion, five retired police elders were also honoured with presentation of citation as a token of love and memory- Kuldip Singh, Kashmir Singh, Mahinder Singh, Sewa Singhand Ajaib Singh.
Present among those in this ceremony were Hardyal Singh Mann, SSP, K.Baliram Patil,SP(H) along with serving and retired officers/officials.
