Police booked one person under IT Act for hurting religious sentiments
Ferozepur, June 27, 2020: The Ferozepur police have booked one person for showing disrespect to Mata Lakshmi Rani for creating and posting obscene images by changing and hurting the religious sentiments, by posting on social media.
As per the information, a case under Sections 294, 295-A IPC, and 67 of the Information Technology Act 2008 against Jagtar Singh alias Mahla of Zira on the complaint of Rakesh Kumar from the same station.
The complainant was sitting in his shop when he saw a video in WhatsApp group Pyar Badle Pyar on the mobile of Jagtar Singh showing the lady having sex with a photo of Mata Laxmi Rani.
Jatinder Singh has been appointed as IO, in this case, to investigate further about the origin of the video as to whether forward or concocted by the alleged accused. Meanwhile, Jagtar Singh has been arrested.
