PCMSA registers protest in a peaceful manner for genuine demands at Ludhiana by making ‘Human Chain”

Ferozepur, July 10,2016 :  On a call from PCMS Association, today doctors from all over Punjab registered their protest in a peaceful manner for their long pending genuine demands, by making ‘Human Chain’.

Dr.Gagandeep said, as already reported in the media and memorandums presented to the government, the government doctors have been demanding full pay scales who are presently getting basic salaries who are working at par with the doctors working prior to 2015. The demands of the PCMSA also includes restoration of Non-practice allowance (NPA) during Post Graduation under government quota, extra increments for the specialist doctors, security of the doctors during emergency duty, reducing of service period to three years at rural areas for PG quota.

Taking this plea, he said, the wages to the 2016 batch doctors should also be given at par with other doctors including the General Medical Officers on the pattern of newly recruited specialist medical officers.

He further said, the intention of the government to increase the probation period from 2 to 3 years will not be allowed to be implemented.

He also demanded the restoration of non-practice allowance (NPA) for the doctors doing post-graduation besides solving the issue of 4-9-14 cases of government medical officers.

The protesters informed that in case the demands of doctors are not met out, the agitation will be intensified more forcefully.
