Ferozepur, November 18, 2016: Despite all-out efforts being made by the government to solve the problems of people living near the border-belt but the government employees will only work in these areas if they are also given some extra benefits, said, Dr.Daler Singh Multani, Chief Advisor PCMS Union.  He said, while the educated class is interested to extend their services in the urban cities but reluctant to serve in the backward areas especially in the border area touching the international border.

To maintain the posting of number of employees to provide services to the people living in the villages in the border-belt, Dr.Multani appealed to give special facility of 25 per cent extra wages to the employees working in these areas so that they too could uplift their standard of living while living in the remote areas.  He further said, the employee could live in the border areas away from his families only in he is compensated to meet the extra expenses.

Expressing his concern, he said, the employees after acquiring higher qualifications are normally interested to work in the big cities and in case they are posted in the small cities or border areas, they managed for their transfers by using the personal influences or try to get posting on deputation near their homes.

Advocating the employees working in the border areas for extra benefits, Dr.Multani said, the employees will prefer to work in these areas only if they are given extra 25 per cent wages apart from the various other facilities like cities.  Only these arrangements will keep maintaining the strength of employees in the border area institutions which would be helpful in providing the services to the people of the area.

He said, in case we want real development in the border areas then the employees working in the border-belt deserved to be given the extra facilities.
