Passport cheat still online, fake passport website detected for filling appl

Ferozepur, January 23, 2019:  Passport Office Amritsar has received complaints regarding the fake website for filling Passport applications where applicants have submitted the desired amount in fake accounts but the appointment has not been given by the website.  One of such website report is www.pasportonlineindia.com, said Munish Kapoor, Passport Officer, Amritsar in a press release.

He informed that there is only one website www.passportindia.gov.in for filling online applications for passport related services.  The applicants can also download mobile app mpassport seva from play store for filing an online application.  The fee once deposited is non-refundable.

Munish Kapoor said, any other web site used by the applicant such as www.passporonlineapplication.com is fake and the applicants will be using such sites at their own risk and cost.

On speaking to Munish Kapoor, he said, such complaints have been received throughout India and complaint against the fake website has been lodged with the police by one of his counterparts.
