One death, 134 COVID-19 +ve cases reported in Ferozepur

Ferozepur, May 3, 2021:  With one death and 134 Covid-19 positive cases reported on Monday, the tally of total deaths and active positive cases has gone to 229 and 1234 respectively.

Since the outbreak of the virus in the Ferozepur district, 1,34,340 samples were taken, out of which 1,26,067 were tested negative, 8,023 as positive while 6,565 were recovered.  However, the result of 250 samples is still awaited.

One death of 26 years age female has been reported from Block Ferozshah taking the total tally to 229 deaths in the district.

In the vaccination drive, 2,342 were vaccinated on a single day and so far 74,630 persons of the age of 45 plus including the frontline and health workers.

In the meantime, the lockdown up to May 15 has been enforced barring the essential services and taking the violators with the strong hands by the district administration to put a check over the transmission of the virus.
