NRI kidnapping case, Protest by family members, police form SIT to probe
Ferozepur March 19, 2019: A Special Investigating Team – SIT – has been formed by the police to probe the missing the NRI under mysterious circumstances on March 14.
Today, the family members and farmer’s outfits today protested in front of the SSP office for not arresting the kidnappers of an NRI woman Ravneet Kaur, 29, reportedly kidnapped from Bagge Ke Pippal village.
Ravneet Kaur was married to Jaspreet Singh of Chandigarh and she had come to her in-laws along with her four-year-old daughter Navseerat a few days ago. His father Harwinder Singh had told the police that Ravneet was kidnapped by some unidentified persons while she was talking on her mobile.
A police case was registered against the unidentified persons but the police could not trace the case on having any clue about the kidnappers.
However, on assurance from SP(D) that Special Investigation Team – SIT – has been constituted and shortly Ravneet Kaur will be traced, the dharna was lifted.
