NGO hands over TB patients with food baskets as nutritional support for faster recovery
Ferozepur, February 8, 2023: Continuing with its commitment to provide nutritional support for fast recovery of 11 adopted TB patients, Ferozepur Foundation a leading NGO, today handed over packets for the fourth month.
Ferozepur Foundation has initially adopted 11 patients suffering from Tuberculosis (TB) to provide nutritional support for faster recovery, under the TB elimination programme of the government. In India, many NGOs have started adopting TB patients and now border town Ferozepur of Punjab state is also among the list. t
Founder of Ferozepur Foundation, Shalinder Shelly and Jimmy Kakkar informed that today is the fourth month of provinding packs of nutritional food as one month’s ration to the ten patients on the advice of the doctors’ team at Civil Hospital. We will continue to provide the food baskets to TB patients till they are full recovered.
Appreciating the inventiveness and yeoman’s service by the Ferozepur Foundation members, Dr.Satinder Kaur, DTO Civil Hospital, also wished everyone the best of health and speedy recovery.
The civil hospital staff members informed that for the last 4 years, free food has been arranged by Ferozepur Foundation, for more than 800 patients and their families in the Civil Hospital in the morning and evening besides working on various other projects like environmental protection, Gauseva and Drive with Helmet project. Giving a call, they also urged the people to adopt poor TB patients and take care of their nutritional diet, on humanitarian grounds.
