New Generation Multi-skills Institute organizes Kaushal Vikas Mela under PMKVY

Ferozepur, July 28, 2017:  The New Generation Multi-skills Institute organizes Kaushal Vikas Mela under Pardhan Manti Kaushal Vikas Yojna – PMKVY by National Skill Development Corporation – NSDC.

Welcoming the Chief Guest, Subhash Kakkar, Chairman New Generation Multi-skills said, PMKVY is the flagship scheme fof the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE).  The objective of the Skill Certification Scheme is to enable a large number of Indian youth to take jp industry-relevant skill training that will help them in security a better livelihood.  Individuals with prior learning experience or skills are also assessed and certified under Recognition of Prior Learning –RPL.

SDM Ferozepur presided over the function as Chief Guest and Vijay Kumar Behal, Naib Tehsildar was Guest of Honour.

Awarding the pass-out certificates to the students in Beauty Therapy and Fashion, SDM congratulated them to start their own small units  to earn to stand on their own feet.

Vijay Kumar Behal, Naib Tehsildar appreciated the skill training programmes which will make our youths a part of Skill India and become a role model for others.

Munish Passi, Regional Manager, Vidya Care highlighted the provisions of around courses running in the state in 206 Centers to over more than 50,000 students.

He said, during the four years extended period of PMKVY 2016-2020, the scheme will benefit 10 million youths and budged allocated for the purpose is Rs.12,000 crores.

The purpose of organizing of this Kaushal Mela is to fill up the communication gap between the youths and availability of various schemes of skill development.
