Motorcycles lifters’ gang busted in Ferozepur, 5 held, 13 bikes recovered
Ferozepur, August 17, 2016: With the arrest of five persons and recovery of 13 motorcycles from their possession, on Wednesday, the district police claimed to have busted a gang involved in stealing motorcycles from different places.
Appreciating the efforts of Vibhore Kumar Sharma, DSP, Jatinder Singh, SHO and Jagdish Kumar, Incharge CIA staff in busting the lifgters’ gang, Ravinder Kumar Bakshi, Senior Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur said, the district had witnessed a sudden spurt in motorcycles theft cases and the gang involved in the crime had given sleepless nights to the police.
However, the officials who have busted this gang, will also be issued Commendation Certificates at the appropriate occasion, he added.
The arrested persons have been identified as Roshan Singh son Manga Singh of Sadhu Wala, Ranbir Singh son of Balkar Singh of Jodhpura Mamdot, Jaspeet Singh alias Gurmit Singh, Rajit Singh son of Dogar Singh and Rahul son of Jagdish of Sadiq Muktsar District, he also added.
He further said, 13 motorcycles – 11 Hero Honda, one TVS and One Yamha have been recovered from the possession of arrested persons.
A case under No.187 on August 16, 2016 under sections 379, 411 at Ferozepur City police station has been registered. The investigation is going on and further developments if any, will be updated accordingly, he added.
R.K.Bakshi also said, media persons are my ear and eyes and my priority is to serve the people, to maintain law and order and extend due respect to women, old age persons and children.
