Vijay Kalra, President, Punjab Arthias Federation said, the ‘black laws’ introduced by the government is in fact a process to ruin the arthias in the state.

The Centre government has cheated with the farmers and arthias by not implementing Dr.Swaminathan’s report and now the Punjab government is bent upon spoiling the business of arthias, Kalra said. With such decisions, the farmers, as well as the arthias, are likely to be badly affected.

Kalra said, the financial circle of farmers through the arthias cannot be run through the banks as both are harmonized to each other.

He said, the arthias of the state have decided to close down their work on August 27, 2018, and to hold a protest rally at Muktsar on August 28.

Kalra said the further strategy would be decided after getting the views of arthias in the state level rally.  He, however, appealed to the arthias to join the rally in good numbers.
