Ferozepur, June 24, 2023:  A mentally retarded Odisha resident apprehended by BSF from near International Border Hussainiwala, four years back today reunited with his family with the sincere efforts of the police.

Giving information in this regard, Sadar Police Station Chief, Ravi Kumar said four years ago, a person named Abbas Sawan, a resident of Odisha, was found near the Hussainiwala border whose mental condition was not good, who was arrested by BSF and handed over to the police.   Instead of taking any action, the police diligently found out that this person is a resident of Cuttack, Odisha, whose mental condition is not good.  He is married and has four children.

Because of his physical and mental conditions, the Ferozepur police worked very hard in establishing contact his family and today, Abbas Sawan was handed over to the family, who reached Ferozepur from Odisha, after proper verification, without taking any action.

Thus, the Ferozepur Police has done a very commendable job by taking care of the physically challenged person, who was found from near Hussainiwala border four years back by handing over to his family.
After proper verification and completion of all legal formalities, Abbas Sawan resident of Odhisha, was handed over to his legal heirs. The family members complimented the Police for their arduous effort for keeping him for four years.
