Ferozepur, May 25, 2018: The media should perform its duty honestly and in a transparent manner, for various social reforms by creating awareness about the various social welfare schemes and development policies of the government so that the real beneficiary could avail the facility of schemes and get justice.
Expressing these views with the media persons, at Press Club, Ferozepur, Ramvir, Deputy Commissioner, Ferozepur.
Talking about the extending the services in a time-bound and transparent manner, DC said, almost all services are switched over online which will result reduce unnecessary harassment to the people but enhance the working capacity. However, the intention is to provide justice to all while extending the services.
He said, there is also need of some introspection to keep separate the personal and professional issues by the media so that real issues are not sidelined.
He said, the various issues like developing the Ferozepur as a tourist hub, laying of Ferozepur-Patti railway line, construction of PGI Satellite Centre etc. are raised at the higher level from time to time, which will also be an upshot in the development for the benefit of the people of the area.
Sharing about Ferozepur as a centre of his training period, Ramvir said, there may be some shortcoming in the administrative services inadvertently but it will never be intentional.
Deputy Commissioner, however, appealed to the journalist’s fraternity to especially highlight the costly free MR vaccination to the children to make disease-free society.
Dr.Richa, Additional Deputy Commissioner also solicited the cooperation of media persons in the implementation of the administrative services by giving maximum coverage in the newspapers, TV channels, online portals so that the same could reach the real beneficiaries.
