MC Poll Ferozpepur : HC fixed February 26 next date of hearing in Guruharsahai case, No relief to petitioners

Ferozepur, February 20: (Ferozepur Online Bureau) Punjab and High Court on a petition by Congress candidate have fixed February 26 as the next date of hearing.

The Congress candidates have alleged that their nominations papers were not accepted by the RO in connivance with their political opponents.

The date has been fixed on the next day after the polls in Punjab. Thus, giving no immediate relief to the petitioners for setting aside the declaring all the Akali-BJP candidates as unopposed.

Earlier, Rana Sodhi Congress MLA from Guruharsahai have alleged that Akali-BJP leaders and supporters are hand in glove with the government as Congress candidates were not allowed to file their papers.  The RO had  declared 12 Akali and three BJP candidates as winners.
