Mayank Foundation honours students for academic excellence

Ferozepur, June 3, 2018:  Mayank Foundation – established in memory of Mayank Sharma who died in the road accident during last year – today honoured students at a simple and impressive ceremony at Harish H-3 Banquet Hall, for their academic excellence in PSEB and CBSE annual exams with MS Memorial Academic Excellence Award Foundation to motivate and encourage the students to excel in their education and career.

Gurinder Singh Dhillon, IG Police Ferozepur and Ramvir, Deputy Commissioner, Ferozepur were special guests of the function. Amit Kumar, Deputy Commissioner, Nawanshahr attended the award ceremony as a special guest.

All the key-note speakers appreciating the initiative taken by Mayank Foundation advised the students to remain ready for any challenges in the future by giving the motivational tips and contribute their energy to do something special in the interest of the country. They said, parents too should watch the interest of the children before sending them for higher studies.

Dhillon IGP counselled the students to also follow the traffic rules to save the precious lives as there had been thousands of death in road accidents and it will be the real tribute to Mayank Sharma.

Anirudh Gupta, CEO DEC Group of Schools and senior member of the Foundation highlighting the aims and objects of the Mayank Foundation said, as many as 100 students who have excelled in board exams have been honoured. Besides, 33 students from 11 blocks of the rural area were also honoured.

Mandeep Kumar, President Press Club said, remembering the departed soul in a novel way is to keep Mayank Sharma alive for times to come.

Deepak Sharma, father of Mayank and founder of the Foundation, in a choked voice, could only thank all the members, students and audience for making the event a grand success and solicited cooperation in future also.

When interacted with certain students, they expressed their desire to become, administrative officer, judicial officer, doctor, engineer, teacher, advocate etc.

Apart from students, parents and various prominent persons,– Amrik Singh, DPRO, Nek Singh, DEO, Pargat Brar, Dy.DEO, Ashok Behal, Secretary, Red Cross Society, Vijay Arora, Governor-Elect Rotary International, Abhishek Arora, Jaswinder Singh Sandhu, President, Bhagat Singh Rajguru Sukhdev Memorial Foundation, Shalindern Kumar Loria, Gazal Preet Singh, SBS State Technical Campus, Ashwani Sharma, Advocate, Ashwani Grover,President, Municipal Council  – were also present.
