Lahore: Pakistan-based Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation celebrates Diwali at Mandir
Lahore/Ferozepur, November 15, 2020: Pakistan-based Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation celebrated Diwali festival at Krishna Mandir, Lahore, with a great pump and show.
Present to enjoy the celebrations of the holy festival on this auspicious were Muhammad Iqbal Mughal, Spokesperson BSMF, Suleiman Hameed Khokhar, Chief Guest Ijaz Augustin Provincial Minister of Human Rights & Minorities, Tariq Wazir Secretary., Evacuee Trust Pakistan, Additional Secretary. M. Syed Faraz Abbas, besides, people from Hindus, Muslims, and Christens, Jewish, Sikhs and Parsi communities.
Recalling the old memories, Qureshi told that one-decade ago, when I was working on interfaith religious harmony in the country then I got received eggs and tomatoes on my heads by the uneducated people those were calming we are not one and we cannot be participated in each other religious festival, today I am very happy because we are one and it is the completion of Bhagat Singh mission, dream and aim.
Addressing the gathering, Imtiaz Rashid Qureshi, Chairman, Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation –BSMF – congratulated the present audience on the eve of Diwali. He said, Diwali is the festival of lights, remembering our customs and traditions but to maintain the peace among the communities is the real message of Diwali.
Qureshi Chairman said I feel that instead of playing with blood, it is better to celebrate each other’s festivals with great enthusiasm.
