Lahore: High Court orders for fool-proof security on Bhagat Singh’s Martyrdom Day
Ferozepur, March 20, 2021: The Lahore High Court has ordered to provide fool-proof security on Martyrdom Day on March 23 at Shadman Chowk Lahore. Despite strain relations between India and Pakistan, Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation (BSMS) in Pakistan will celebrate 90th Martyrdom Day at Shadman Chowk in Lahore.
Giving this information on the phone, Imtiaz Rashid Qureshi, Chairman, BSMS said, on our petition seeking security on 90th Martyrdom Day of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev, the Lahore High Court Single Bench of Justice Sardar Ahmad Naeem, has ordered to provide fool-proof security.
Qureshi said, on March 23, after the floral tributes to the three heroes – Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev – from 4 pm to 6 pm, Candle March will also be organized demanding to declare the three martyrs as National Heroes.
He said, the issue of renaming Shadman Chowk where the three revolutionary heroes were sentenced, as Bhagat Singh Chowk, installation of statues of three martyrs by declaring it as National Memorial and making a part of school books of the unprecedented sacrifice.
