Krantikari Union leader booked for creating hindrance in performing of duties

Ferozepur, June 12, 2017 : Gurmit Singh, leader of Krantikari Union leader along with 8-10 unidentified persons  were  booked for creating hindrance in performing of official duties by the district administration officers on the complaint of  Tehsildar Ferozepur.

As per the crime report released today, a case has been registered against Gurmit Singh, Krantikari leader and 8-10 unidentified leaders under Sections 353, 186, 148 and 149 of IPC under N.65.

The incident goes like this that Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur along with Tehsildar, Narinder Kumar had gone to check the illegal sand mining going on with JBC machines and filling up of trolleys when Krantikari Union leader Gurmit Singh argued with the DC and spoke against him besides creating hindrance in performing the official duties and  highhandedness with the government employee.

The police have to intervene in the matter after the arguments and blocking the passage in which the union leader were injured and later admitted in the hospital.  However, nothing happened in the presence of the Deputy Commissioner.

No arrest has been made in this case.  However, the IO has been appointed to investigate into the matter.
