BSF 191 Bn seizes 15 Kg heroin worth Rs.75 crore near BOP Mian Wala

Ferozeur, August ‘:  Border Security Force – celebrating its Golden Jubilee Year – today at the wee hours recovered 15 packets of heroin at Border Out Post (BOP) Mian Wala near Indo-Pak border, thwarting the attempt of smugglers to smuggle into Indian Territory.

Divulging with the details, R.K.Thapa, DIG,BSF said, the jawans of BSF 191 posted at BOP Mian Wala on Tuesday morning noticed some movement at the wee hours at 4 am and observed that Pakistani smugglers were trying to pass on the heroin consignment through a pipe into the Indian Territory.

He further said, on challenging by the BSF jawans and firing, the smugglers successfully flee from the spot towards Pakistan leaving the heroin packets. During the search operation, 15 packets of heroin were found worth Rs.75 crore value in the international market.
