Ferozepur, October 13, 2019:  The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s reconceived campaign of the Sikh identity within a Hindu-nationalist pattern and response from Sikh organizations against it could have serious consequences for the delicate communal peace in Punjab.

While RSS Chief had said, the RSS’s core value is that India is a Hindu Rashtra and it is non-negotiable. Sangh considers as its own even those who do not call themselves Hindus but consider themselves Indians.

In this context, the Kissan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee, Punjab – fighting for the welfare and rights of farmers – today in its meeting chaired by Satnam Singh Pannu, State President held at state headquarter Shaheed Angrez Singh Bakipur Yadgar Bhawan, asked the government to put a ban on Rashtriya Swayam Sewak Sangh – RSS, as saying to each one in the country as Hindu is a ‘danger bell’ for the minority community.

Pannu said, in the meeting, it was also decided to organize state level mega seminars from 2-10 Nov. dedicated to 550th birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Nanak Dev Ji for his revolutionary and scientific ideology and for creating giving us a society of ‘Sarbat Da Bhala’ of equality and making the fight against Mai Bhago as a part of common people.

Pannu said, the Modi government working against the basic sentiments of the constitution.   It is an attack on the different languages, races, religions and communities and the farmers community condemn the statement of the RSS chief and demanded action for un-patriotic attitude and anti-national organization.  

In the meeting, the arrest of farmer leader Baldev Singh Sirsa was also slammed who is fighting with peaceful protests for releasing the lands forcibly occupied by Dera Beas and demanded his release without any condition.
