Kargil Vijay Diwas : BSF to celebrate  ‘Historical Victory of 1999’ from 20 to 27 July, 2019

Ferozepur, July 18,2019: The celebration of Kargil Vijay Diwas will be organized from 20 to 27 July 2019 by Border Security Force – India’s First line of Defence.

Motive of this celebrataion is to spread the message our brave soldiers and historical victory in 1999.

Sr. Public Relations Officer BSF Punjab Frontier informed that during this period a series of programmes will be organized in all institutions of Punjab Frontier as well as in Border areas.  During this celebration week, show casing the role of Veer Jawans, who fought for the country in line of duty during the Kargil War, display of 07 minutes Kargil movie at all BOPs, felicitating the family members of martyrs and gallantry awardees of Uniformed Forces (including State Police) residing in Border Areas, organize Blood donation / Medical Camp, display of banners at prominent locations with photos and write ups about kargil Heroes, showcasing of photo galleries about their contribution for National security.  Similarly, screening of Documentary film on  BSF for the  order population, 05 Kms run as ‘Run for Martyrs”, organizing dawing / painting / patriot songs completion, debate on subjects with patriotic themes in primary/secondary schools of Border Areas, Camal Safari, Wreath laying ceremony at War Memorials / Martyrs Memorials in Borders areas, motivational lectures in schools and colleges by officers and soldiers.

He said, the celebration of Kargil Vijay Diwas will also be organized at all establishments of Border Security Force under Punjab Frontier.
