Ferozepur, March 16, 2020: The jail authorities are too worried about the spread of Coronavirus and as a precautionary measure, aA notice has been posted outside the Central Jail by the Superintendent Jail in Ferozepur that there will no ‘mulaqat’ – meeting – with the prisoners in the jail till March 31, 2020, in view of threat of Coronavirus. However, only the cash can be deposited. There was a great resentment among the relatives who had come for ‘mulaqat’ from far off places as there was no announcement was made to this effect. The visitors were of the view that at least today it has been allowed and news in this regard be given through the newspapers to put wiser the relatives whose wards are in jail facing trials or sentence.
