Inmate dies in Ferozepur

FEROZEPUR: A prisoner lodged in the Central Jail died under mysterious circumstances on Tuesday. 32-year-old Jagsir was found unconscious during the routine check on Tuesday. He was taken to the local civil hospital where he was declared brought dead. A judicial probe has been ordered into the matter. Jagsir, a resident of Khosa Kotla village in Moga district, was held by police for the alleged smuggling poppy husk and later was sentenced to rigorous imprisonment of ten years at Central Jail here.
