Historical decisions by Punjab Govt. to upgrade the education standard : Dr.Daljeet Singh Cheema
Ferozepur, September 1, 2016: The Punjab Government led by Chief Minister, Parkash Singh Badal, has taken historical decisions during its nine years’ tenure to upgrade the education standard in the state. There is also record recruitment of 70,000 teachers and up-gradation of schools.
Dr.Daljeet Singh Cheema, Education Minister was at village Jalle Khan in Zira Constituency while addressing the mammoth gathering at the time inaugurating the upgradation of High School to Senior Secondary School.
On this occasion Hari Singh Zira, MLA and Avtar Singh Zira, Chairman, Punjab State Cooperative Bank were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr.Cheema said, during the last 9.5 years tenure of Akali-BJP government, better services to the people in the State have been provided in the field of education, right to service act, health, sports etc.
He further said, there will be no shortage of teaching staff in the schools within fortnight when 6000 new teachers recruitment process will be completed besides giving appointment to 4500 ETT teachers and giving promotion to 2200 teachers as Lecturer.
