Haryana Governor Solanki honours Dr.Rajiv Arora from SBSSTC Ferozepur with Award for Research Excellence
Ferozepur, July 28, 2017: Kaptan Singh Solanki, Governor of Haryana today honoured Dr.Rajiv Arora, Asstt. Professor, Head of the Chemical Department at Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Campus with Award for Research Excellence.
The award was announced by the Indus Foundation – Indo-Gobal Education Summit and Expo 2017 organized by Indus Foundation Inc, New Jersey USA, for research achievements of Dr.Rajiv Arora, during the past 6 years in the field of Bio-fuels and Rice Bran.
In addition, two students of Chemical Engineering of SBSSTC Ferozepur – Ms Sheetal Sharma and Ms Harshita Aggarwal were also awarded with award for the academic excellence.
Speaking on this occasion, Dr.Rajiv Arora said, the Award for Research Excellence is a honour for me and the credit goes to our Director, Dr.T.S.Sidhu under whose guidance and cooperation, I could dedicate in the research work.
Hardly any research work by the researchers is being used by the industry in India but I hope that my individual research would be beneficial for the rice industry in Punjab which would find a space in the global market, he added.
Dr.T.S.Sidhu, Director, SBSSTC said, the institution is proud of Dr.Rajiv Arora for his achievements in the field of research and his research work would not be dumped in the library rather it is likely to be used in the rice industry in the state which has rice production potential to use the new technology.
