Gurukul Vedic School launched in Ferozepur to uphold Ancient Indian Traditions

Ferozepur, August 9, 2024: With an aim to preserve and promote ancient sage traditions and Sanatan culture of India, Gurukul Vedic School was opened in Ferozepur at the Shri Ram Bagh Old Age Seva Ashram in Cantonment.

This new initiative was taken under the directions of Acharya Diwakar Shukla from Prayagraj and Initially, around 50 students will be taught the Vedas under his tutelage.

The inauguration ceremony was a grand affair, attended by sages, saints, and scholars. The event began with traditional rituals, worship, and a yagya, reflecting the deep cultural roots the Gurukul seeks to uphold. The school will initially enroll 50 students who will be taught the Vedas, along with Sanskrit, English, Mathematics, and computer education to ensure a well-rounded education.

Chairman Harish Goyal of the Shri Ram Bagh Committee emphasized that the Gurukul’s mission is to draw inspiration from India’s rich historical and spiritual heritage.

He expressed gratitude for the guidance and blessings from esteemed guests, including Sadhvi Dr. Amrita Didi, President of Brahmshri Shikshan Sansthan, Swami Dr. Vagish Swaroop Brahmachari, President of Vishwa Jagruti Foundation and Subhash Gupta, President of VHP Punjab, among others.

The ceremony concluded with a tour of the ashram’s under-construction building, followed by a feast. The gathering was a testament to the community’s support for this noble endeavour, aiming to blend ancient wisdom with modern education.
