Govt. intentionally imposes Section 144 in Ludhiana district : PGPA
Ferozepur, February 10, 2018: Punjab Government Pensioners Association – PGPA, Ferozepur in its monthly meeting held today under the tutelage of Ajit Singh Sodhi General Secretary condemned the imposition of Section 144 in Ludhiana District so that the pensioners may not participate in the massive protest rally organized at Ludhiana.
He said, none of the demand of the pensioners has been accepted and the government is making lame excuses of having no funds in its treasury.
He pointed out that DA to the IAS, ICS and other senior officers have been disbursed up to December 2017 but pensioners have been denied of the same and not released even a single instalment rather considering this class as a burden who had given the services to the Punjab Government for three-four decades.
Expressing deep concern over the attitude of the government, the PGPA has now decided to organize district rally rallies in the first week of March.
